Norilsk Nickel’s nickel output rises 10% to 52,000 tns in Jan–Mar

MOSCOW, Apr 25 (PRIME) -- Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel’s output of nickel grew by 10% on the year to 52,000 tonnes in January–March, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Copper output remained flat at 91,000 tonnes in the period, palladium output dropped by 8% to 706,000 ounces while platinum output fell 12% to 163,000 ounces.

The company confirmed a 2022 plan to produce 205,000–215,000 tonnes of nickel, 365,000–385,000 tonnes of copper, 2.451–2.708 million ounces of palladium, and 604,000–667,000 ounces of platinum.
